The history of this sumptuous estate takes us back to the time of the Capetians, we are in the 10th century at the dawn of the era of chivalry and it was at this time that this Benedictine abbey was born whose activity religious will last until the French revolution. It will be at the end of its activity the place of collection of the tithe. Today, its remarkable state of conservation makes it possible to admire this building, built in Roman slabs and round stone, consisting of an apartment on three levels of 180m² of living space (2 bedrooms, office of 50m², dressing room, living room of 70m², bathroom, wc) and an open-air part of around 400m² where you can find a swimming pool inside its 13m high walls. The history of the estate continues at the time of the well-known reign of Louis XIV, we are in the 17th century when an imposing farmhouse of 1800 m² was built on three levels, of which approximately 900 m² have been restored in respect of the premises with an approach eco-responsible: natural coatings, lime, earth, pebbles, fairground bricks, solid wood and steel. The 17th century spirit that a farmhouse could have at that time is very present, in particular thanks to the choice of very sober furniture and to the many small chests as was customary at that time, to the exposed stone and pebble walls, to the Roman flagstone floors and parquet floors. The charm of the old has been preserved and restored with great taste and sobriety. This farmhouse also has reused Roman materials (tegoules, fairground bricks), all the modern comforts have been added and includes 14 bedrooms from 16 to 48 m², 6 bath/shower rooms, 10 WCs, two lounges/kitchens of 40 and 53 m², a living room of 90 m², a scullery of 25m², entrance, offices. A garage of 90 m² and a storage space of 200 m² where there is also the boiler room by means of an automated and programmable pellet heating. The second floor of the smallholding develops a plateau of 600m² in Roman slabs with large openings and a height of approximately 3m allowing additional renovation. The roof has been redone on the entire farmhouse including the adjoining stables to be renovated with a surface area of 300 m² on the ground on 3 levels. In this green, quiet setting with a breathtaking view of the Pyrenees, there is also a hall built in solid wood by the Compagnons de France of around 160 m². Place suitable for events since it is regularly the theater of secular ceremonies, parties, receptions and seminars, all projects are possible in this area. I therefore invite you to come and write the rest of its already very rich history by writing your own.
