In the heart of the Haute Vienne in the medieval town of saint Leonard-de Noblat you will find one of the best examples of the hostelry tradition, with a five strong team of chefs the hotel provides gastronomic delights daily tasting a choice of the best ingredients available from the Limousin.Region.
This hotel is obviously the pride and joy of the current owners being extremely well maintained and run. The presentation of the hotel from the outside to inside, rooms, kitchens and restaurant is one of total cleanliness each and every part of this hotel being spotless.
On entering the hotel from the road outside is a small reception area which leads off to a small lounge and guest seating area for relaxing reading the paper or having drinks, with a small 20 cover breakfast room for guests.
The restaurant open for guests and the public is approx 70 covers and is very tastefully decorated giving the feeling of old world France with its exposed beams and brass decorations, it gives a real cosy home feeling and once inside you would think you were in the middle of the country and not in a town.
From the restaurant you enter a small preparation area with chillers followed by the wash up area once again these are very well adapted areas giving the feeling of space to work in, not as so many industrial kitchens where theses areas are cramped. A very small passage then leads to the main kitchen this is the wow factor, being an ex chef from many years ago this kitchen is a chefs dream its large and open and airy with walk in chiller units and a full cooking range right round the outside with a further preparation area and cooking range in the middle. This makes a wonderful working area All kitchen equipment is extremely well maintained and in first class condition.
Leading off the kitchen is a small breakfast preparation area, which then leads directly back to the guest's dining room. In this area is also access to the vaulted wine cellar, once again an experience on its own visiting this cellar it is well maintained with many rare wines all racked and labelled.
Across a very small courtyard is the second building housing the pastry kitchen with its huge black granite work top and all machinery involved with the bakery section of a kitchen, the hotel produces all its own pastries, breads, sweets, croissants etc be prepared to feel hungry whilst viewing this establishment everywhere you turn makes your mouth water. The next area is the laundry room with all machinery you would expect from a hotel that carries out all its own laundry. A soft bottle drink store, and a further courtyard where the waste bins are kept; even this area is spotlessly clean. A walk in fish fridge is also located on this level with ice making facilities and sink and water for fish preparation all the fish are laid out in trays in this room and bedded in crushed ice for maximum freshness.
Upstairs is an attic which at the moment is the maintenance room storing light bulbs etc etc. Also on this level are the staff rooms 2 rest rooms male and female a shower room and locker room.
Back into the main building is the bedrooms situated over 2 floors with 14 letting rooms, this could be increased but the current owners designed it with 14 generous rooms light airy with the soft feeling of the old countryside houses all rooms have television and en-suite rooms. The rooms are so tastefully decorated with old period furniture.
On the third floor you have the owners apartment offering 4 bedrooms all of double size, kitchen, large lounge living area and hallway.
In total the hotel employs 4 chefs (currently the owner is also a chef in kitchen to make 5) 4 restaurant staff plus the owners wife. 3 Chamber staff and cleaners.
The hotel is being sold with all fixtures and fittings with the exception of 2 items of furniture a full inventory will be provided for serious purchasers at the time of visit. The hotel is busy all year round and currently closes for 1 month per year for annual holidays.
This is an ideal venture for anyone serious to have a business in France full accounts for the last 3 years can be provided, this is a very profitable business, hence why the current owners have now decided to retire after many years of dedication building the business up.
Some of the staff speak English which will make communication a lot easier for a purchaser and for clients, this hotel is ready to go, and is a good sound investment whether you have catering background or not.
If you are serious about this business contact us today and arrange a visit, this is a must to appreciate the natural beauty of this establishment and you try and find this sort of quality for the price the current owners are asking.
